M110 - NGC 205 - Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy

Messier 110 (M110) is a dwarf elliptical galaxy in the constellation Andromeda. While not included in his list, Charles Messier included both M110 and M32 in a drawing of the Andromeda galaxy in 1773. M110 is one of 14 satellite galaxies of the Andromeda Galaxy (M31), is located about 2.7 million light years from earth and is approximately 5,400 light years long. Its elliptical shape is about twice as long as it is wide. Discovered in 1773 by Charles Messier, M110 was added to the Messier List in 1967 by Kenneth Glyn Jones.
