Description
There was a small group over at Mauthe Lake in Kettle Moraine North State Park, which was refreshing in contrast to some of the crowds at other spots I noted as we were driving there. My wife and I had a chance to set up chairs and just enjoy the ambience for a few hours at a reasonable time from 8 to about 10:30pm.We got dark red, yellow, blue/purple at around 9:30pm, lasting the strongest until 10pm. At 10:30 I could look up and see the pulses starting to come through, with wide sweeping greens going quickly overhead almost like a spotlight searchlight but with such a broad paintbrush and moving fast. It was fun to experience!
