Description
This is the first image to come from a new to me RC telescope. I modified the telescope to be much more reliable and easier to collimate by installing a gorgeously machined decoupler made by a fellow CN member. I also have a 3D printed baffle tube extension installed to help prevent unwanted reflections. The scope performed quite well for it's first light, just a little more tweaking on collimation, and I will be adding a field flattener to help with coma on the APSC imaging chip. The skies were a challenge, however. Clear but sub optimal seeing are the norm for spring in my part of the US. If I waited for perfect skies, I'd never be imaging. Best to just send it and make the best out of the data as much as possible.
