Description

NGC 6744 is a galaxy in Pavo, (roughly south of Capricorn), and is said to be a similar galaxy to the Milky Way.
Both it and the irregular galaxy, NGC 6744A, above and to the left of NGC 6744, are located about 31 MLY from us.
A little over 2 hours integration: 7x5m each, R, G, B, and 7x3m Lum, all binned (1:1). I gathered these images on
July 7th, and September 6th and 9th of 2024. The camera field of view is 37' x 37'; the result here is moderately
cropped from the original image. Pixinsight and some Adobe used in processing.
