Description
This is a difficult object to image from Milwaukee because it is so low in the sky. That of course, limits the detail one can get when compared to images taken from more favorable locations. So it took several months starting in January of this year, with the final session in November. I did take RGB stars for this, but was pleased enough with what SPCC gave that I did not use them. My primary goal was to tease out some of the H-alpha emission surrounding and away from the main nebula, of which there is a significant amount, so the acquisition is heavily biased to that channel.
